Graduation is one of the most exciting events you’ll experience in your life, and chances are you wont have too many graduations. If you end up doing post graduate studies, then you’ll likely have a total of three graduations in your lifetime, but many of us will just have one or two. For this reason, I think it’s important that you really enjoy your graduation and take this time to look back on how much effort you’ve put in and all that you’ve achieved. There are a few simple things you can do to make your graduation feel extra special, from making a personalised graduation ceremony invitation, through to investing in a photoshoot to remember this special time in your life. Don’t forget to celebrate with your friends too, whether you choose to celebrate with your friends who are graduating with you or a wider celebration. You should be proud of yourself, graduating is such a huge achievement and with these tips I’m sure it will be an occasion to remember. Here are my top 3 tips for making your graduation special.

1. Create Graduation Invitations
There’s something special about creating professional graduation announcements and sending them out to your loved ones. Whether you’ve got a special graduation dinner, or you’re just planning to host your own graduation party, taking it to the next level by creating invite makes it feel a lot more special. Think about how infrequently we make special invites like this in our lives, the main occasions I can think of are for weddings, baby showers, and maybe birthday parties. By investing the time and energy into making formal invites for your graduation celebrations, you’re making it very clear what a great achievement this is and how excited you are to celebrate it with your loved ones.

2. Do a Photoshoot
Why not mark this special occasion with a photoshoot? Depending on where you come from, this might be the norm or a little more unusual, but it can be a great way to mark this special time. It’s also fun to look back on photos of ourselves from this period, and sometimes professional photos can capture us in ways that standard photos can’t. I would suggest incorporating your loved ones into your photoshoot too, whether just your parents or you’d like to go a little wider and get photos with your siblings, and other relatives such as grandparents and partners. Of course the focus should be on you, but I think taking the time to include your loved ones will ensure that you really treasure this photos and this special time in your life.

3. Celebrate With Your Friends
Your friends love you, and for your good friends your success is their success. For that reason, I suggest that you should find a way to celebrate with them. It could be something low key like a dinner out that you invite them to, or something a little more elaborate such as a graduation party. You can even be bold and ask one of your best friends to host something for you – and I’m sure they’d be delighted too. Your graduation is one of the biggest achievements in your life, so of course you’d like to celebrate with your loved ones, and I’m sure your friends would love any reason to party and celebrate with you.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, I hope these tips inspire you for creative ways to celebrate this important time in your life.
