Hoping to dial up the romance on your next trip? It can often seem easier said than done, especially if you’re someone who tends to get a little stressed when you’re travelling overseas. Luckily, there a few ways you can make your next trip more romantic:

Plan together

Let’s face it: When one person is doing all of the planning for a holiday, the other person isn’t going to feel all that invested in the trip. This is particularly true if you both like to travel in different ways and their needs aren’t being taken into account. Even if your partner says they don’t mind what you choose, it’s a good idea to offer them a few choices anyway, or at least one day where they can do what they like once they’re on the ground.

Communicate

If you’ve ever watched The Amazing Race, you’ve probably noticed just how often couples end up losing it with each other due to poor communication. And even the most well-planned trip can feel like The Amazing Race when you’re racing to the airport to get your flight after sleeping in.

Now is not the time to list all of the other times your partner has failed to listen to you. Instead, commit to staying in the present moment and speaking respectfully- even if you’re frustrated.

Remove the stress

Stress and romance do not go hand-in-hand. So do yourself a favour and try to make your trip as stress-free as possible. If you’ve already bought cheap flights with Webjet, it’s a good idea to make sure you get to the airport with plenty of time to spare. You can always grab a coffee and relax once you’ve checked in, but there’s nothing worse than going through a slow security line while your flight is boarding.

To really remove the stress, why not rent a car with Webjet? This will allow you to take your time, stop whenever you want to take a photo or have a rest, and enjoy the freedom of the open road.

Add in some romance

Long walks on the beach, hours of snorkelling, candlelit dinners, these are all activities that can be added into your trip. If you’re hoping to make your next holiday more romantic, it’s a good idea to leave plenty of time free for one-on-one time. Even the most jam-packed trip can have plenty of time for romance as long as you’re willing to fit it in.
