Enjoy the Nightlife

London is well known for its incredible nightlife, with a plethora of pubs and clubs to choose from. The nightlife ranges from uber hip industrial clubs to fancy cocktail bars. Chill in Hyde Park

Even if you haven’t yet been to London, you’ve probably heard of Hyde Park. This is one of the largest parks in London, and easily the most famous. Hyde Park has historical significance, and has seen a number of protests and demonstrations over the years- most notably from the Suffragettes.

Speaker’s Corner is a must visit, and each week you’ll find it occupied by performance artists, protests, and debates. You can also check out the swans in the park, go paddle boating, or just relax under a tree with a good book.

Check out Westminster

Considered to be London’s political hub, this is where you’ll find Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. You can also visit Westminster Abbey, which is usually open to the public. Take a few moments to relax in Parliament Square and check out some of the statues of important historical and political figures like Winston Churchill and Nelson Mandela.

Be a Tourist on the London Eye

You can’t visit London without taking a ride on the iconic London Eye. This huge ferris wheel offers incredible views across London, and the wheel is lit up in different colours throughout the year. The spacious pods can be shared with a few friends, and you’ll find the London Aquarium nearby, where you can check out aquatic creatures like crocodiles, seahorses, and jellyfish.

Wander in Shoreditch

Shoreditch has now been transformed into one of London’s trendiest areas, after extensive regeneration. It’s now one of the best places to stay, and home to some of the hottest nightlife. You’ll find plenty of great places to eat here during the day, including Far Rockaway, where the decor includes comic books and band posters. Feel like American-style food? Check out Blues Kitchen for the best sticky ribs around.
