It’s the time of year when everyone gets ready to jet off on their summer holiday. After working hard all year, you’re looking forward to hitting the beach and enjoying some rest and relaxation. The last thing you want to be worrying about is what to pack, so we’ve got that sorted for you.
A glamorous suitcase
A good piece of luggage can make you feel fantastic as you stroll through the airport. You can opt for a cabin-sized case to escape the wait at baggage reclaim. Or maybe go bigger if you find it hard to pack light. Be sure to look around for some offers before you go, or look at getting some great Samsonite discounts to save money before you go.
Shoes for every occasion
Did that make you think you could take every pair of shoes in your wardrobe? You only need to take two or three pairs at most. A comfortable pair for walking around in during the day, and a pair of heels for the evening. If you plan to get active on holiday, then add a pair of trainers. Doing this also saves on weight in your suitcase.
An evening dress
We’re not saying you need to take a ballgown with you, but packing a dress that is just for special occasions should be high on your list. Whether it’s going to a hip local bar or a meal at a top restaurant, you’ll feel so much better if you are wearing a gorgeous dress. Brightly colored dresses look amazing next to tanned skin, and add to that holiday feel.
Loose clothes in light fabrics
This isn’t the time to be packing tight-fitting clothes. By the time you’ve enjoyed some of the great local food on offer, then you will be craving comfort clothing. You want to be able to enjoy yourself without worrying about counting calories when you are away. So, pack clothes which make you feel good but that don’t hug your body.
Cosmetics – with caution
You will want to take your own products on holiday with you. Just be mindful of the fact that unless these products have tight-fitting lids, they have the potential to leak and go all over your suitcase. Most holiday destinations have shops where you can pick up the essentials, or you could even get things at duty-free if you can’t live without your luxury skincare.
The first aid basics
This may seem like silly advice, but taking your own painkillers or stomach-settling medication is a very good idea. After all, you don’t want to end up with a bad headache to realize the nearest pharmacy is in the next town. Also, make sure you have packed enough of any prescription-only medication, so you don’t run out while you are away.
Remember to leave some space in your suitcase for any purchases you may make while you are away. All that’s left to do now is get packing and enjoy your holiday!
